Mr. Wonderful put 20% of his portfolio in blockchain firms. Why do we care?

Kostiantyn TsentsuraBy Kostiantyn Tsentsura13.03.2022

Canadian businessman and TV-presenter Kevin O’Leary aka Mr. Wonderful invested 20% of his portfolio in crypto and blockchain firms.

“I have millions of dollars, 20% of my portfolio is now in cryptocurrencies and blockchain”, – O’Leary said in an interview on Squawk Box.

Mr. Wonderful ensured that he had taken all the risk factors into consideration. He diversified his investment in 32 different positions, including equity FTX. The last is a Bahamian cryptocurrency exchange.

O’Leary also revealed that he is a “paid spokesperson for the cryptocurrency exchange” FTX.

“The whole point is, you don’t know who is going to win. Is Ethereum going to win? Solana? Is it Helium or is it Avalanche? I own them all”, – a Canadian entrepreneur explained.

Commenting on the recent Joe Biden’s executive order, O’Leary said crypto wasn’t under the all-out ban, so “that’s good news” for him.

Earlier this year businessman invested in at least one private bitcoin mining facility but sold his positions in publicly traded bitcoin mining firms.
