Bitcoin enthusiast found a scammer and gave him a Lightning Network lesson instead of coins. That was really funny.

A popular scheme with bitcoin scamming while impersonating famous people is still working. But some fraudsters can also be tricked.

Have you heard about Elon Musk or Steve Wozniak asking for some crypto to bring you more?

Yes, this popular stupid scamming scheme is still alive.

Mostly on Twitter scammers impersonate famous persons or celebs with their charity willing.

Some users are getting hooked. But some can trick scammers in return. And it is so fun to watch.

Recently a bitcoin enthusiast found a scammer and gave him a Lightning Network lesson instead of bitcoins.

“Eat s**t you fu***ng scammer!”

Bitcoin veteran Felix Crisan got a proposition of taking some crypto by sending Tether coins. The CEO of Synonym John Carvalho made the offer. The fake Carvalho, obviously.

Crisan immediately figured out it was a scam, found out who the scammer was and decided to play him along.

Being a chief technology officer of Netopia Payments, he convinced the fake John Carvalho to install a Lightning Network (LN) wallet. Crisan argued he could transfer his Bitcoins only through Lightning Network.

After a series of messages scammer once again asked for the stablecoins but our hero responded with “Eat s**t you fu***ng scammer!”.

It wasn’t the first time Crisan tricked the scammers. In 2019 he promised fraudsters to send 21 million and one Bitcoin to their address. The scammers believed and looked forward to the money. In vain, of course, because we all know Bitcoin will never get more than 21 million tokens.

Lightning Network revolution

Lightning Network or LN is “layer 2” technology on Bitcoin.

This payment network has been growing for the last few years and passed 3500 BTC capacity in mid-March 2022. It had a positive impact on the BTC value.

The LN is built on top of the Bitcoin base chain. It brings transaction speed, network throughput, automatization, and network cost reduction.

The real John Carvalho (who was impersonated by the scammer) is building his company on Lightning Network in partnership with Tether.

“Bitcoin means, that I can be actually free and be a sovereign individual doing what I want, as long as it does not hurt somebody else,” Carvalho said once.

Some say that the Bitcoin LN ecosystem is growing faster than its capacity. Recently giants like McDonald’s and Starbucks joined the LN after the Bitcoin legalization in El Salvador.

Since last September, all the El Salvador entrepreneurs have been required to accept payments to the state’s Chivo digital wallets that are compatible with the Lightning Network.

It’s it a crypto dictatorship or the necessary measure for network development? Well, I guess Vitalik Buterin knows the answer.
