Bitfly company updated terms for Ethermine – the biggest Ethereum mining pool in the world. Now it isn’t available in Russia and Belarus.
Ethermine operator decided to remove access for Russian and Belarus miners because of the new law about financial markets money laundering.
Now Russia and Belarus joined Afghanistan, Cambodia, Iran, Iraq, Syria, DPRK, and Pakistan. Countries from this list can’t use Ethermine’s services.
According to BTC.com, Ethermine – is the leading world Ethereum mining pool with the biggest quantities of mined blocks per day.
Earlier another big mining pool Flexpool also shut down its’ services in Russia. Users got money back in their wallets.
After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, some crypto exchanges banned Russian customers. In particular, Bithumb, Kuna, WhiteBIT, and CEX.io did it.
Such crypto platforms as Coinbase, Tether, MetaMask, OpenSea, and Ripple said that they will support the anti-Russian sanctions but still did nothing.
Binance decided not to block Russians, but they can’t use most of Russia’s bank cards on the platform because of sanctions against it.
